About
SpeedcubeQuest is a free web app for practicing speedcubing. The goal is simple: give cubers everything they need to get faster in one tidy, ad-free site that works on phone and desktop.
Who's behind it
I'm Albin - a speedcuber and developer. I build SpeedcubeQuest in my spare time, mostly scratching my own itch as someone who wanted better tools to practice with.
It's a solo project for now, shaped a lot by feedback from the people who use it.
It began in spring 2026 as a tiny OLL trainer: pick the cases you want to drill, get random scrambles, and time yourself in the browser. That was the whole app.
Install it
SpeedcubeQuest installs to your phone or desktop straight from the browser - no app store, no download. It gets its own icon and runs full screen, without the address bar.
If your browser doesn't offer that button, it can still install the app from its own menu. On iPhone and iPad, open it in Safari and tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open the browser menu and choose Install app. On desktop Chrome or Edge, there's an install icon at the right-hand end of the address bar; in Safari on a Mac it's File, then Add to Dock.
Installing changes how the app opens, not what it needs: like the site, it uses your connection to stay up to date.
What's next
There's a long list: deeper solve analysis, more trainers, better smart-cube features, and gradually polishing the experimental corners into things everyone can use.
Early access
Most of it lands behind an alpha flag while it gets tested. Want in? Ask for alpha access in the Discord.
Get in touch
Ideas, bugs, or just want to say hi? The Discord is the best place to reach me and the rest of the community.
Feedback genuinely shapes what gets built next - a huge amount of the app exists because someone asked for it.
