2-Look OLL and PLL Algorithms

The 16 cases of 2-look OLL and PLL in one overview, in the four steps you solve them in. Every case lists the algorithms top cubers actually use, most-used first. Where our guide teaches something easier than the most-used choice, that one is marked Easiest - on most cases the two agree, so there is nothing to mark.

Step 1 · Orient the Edges OLL

Three cases to make the yellow cross. One last layer in eight arrives with it already made.

Step 2 · Orient the Corners OLL

Seven cases to finish the yellow face. One in 27 arrives with the corners already oriented.

Step 3 · Permute the Corners PLL

Two cases to put the corners in place: one pair of headlights, or none. One in six arrives with them already permuted. Choose between J and T perm for headlights, and between Y and E for no headlights.

Usage shares come from reconstructed solves by top cubers; the percentage beside an algorithm is its share of that case's reconstructed solves. The odds on each card are for its own step, not for the whole of OLL or PLL: by the time you look, the step before has ruled the other cases out.
