What's new
A running log of features, improvements, and bug fixes.
May 26, 2026
- New Practice any puzzle in the timer — tap the puzzle name at the top to switch between 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7, or add your own custom mode. Each puzzle keeps its own solve history.
- New Case details popup now shows the case's group and links straight to that group on the OLL or PLL guide page.
- New Solve history chart now marks DNFs with a red cross. Click a cross to remove the solve, and tooltips show the solve number and timestamp.
- Improved Added an extra algorithm option for the Gb and Gd perms.
- Fixed Case images in the OLL and PLL guide lists now rotate to match the displayed first algorithm when no algorithm is selected yet.
- Fixed Case details popup no longer cuts off long algorithms, and stacks the image above the moves on narrow screens.
- Fixed Case image in the case details popup now rotates to match the selected algorithm.
May 25, 2026
- Fixed Fixed the header overflowing beyond the screen width.
- Fixed Fixed the page being too wide on mobile — content and navigation no longer overflow the screen.
May 20, 2026
- New Added ao100 to the solve history table and chart for users with 100 or more solves, trimming the top and bottom 5% before averaging.
May 3, 2026
- Fixed Fixed algorithm text wrapping underneath the algorithm number or star icon in lists.
- Fixed Fixed the navigation bar overflowing on mobile — it now scrolls horizontally instead of pushing the page wider.
May 2, 2026
- New PLL recognition drill is now a finite, opt-in session: choose which cases to include by status or category, drill through them in random order, then see a recap of how you did.
- New Hovering (or tapping) on Guides, Drill, or History in the nav bar now opens a sub-menu with quick links to each section.
- New Added F2L search to the search bar — type "f2l" followed by filters like "eis", "cot", "br", etc. to find matching cases instantly.
- New Added tag filters to the F2L guide page — filter by corner/edge position, edge orientation, and slot.
- New Added a table view to the F2L guide page for a compact overview of all cases.
- Improved Tapping the timer no longer accidentally selects the scramble or other text on the page.
- Improved Solves history can now be sorted by best ao5 or ao12 — pick the option in the sort dropdown, or click the ao5 / ao12 column headers.
- Improved PLL recognition drill no longer asks which variant when a case has multiple — it figures it out from the scramble.
- Improved Added "Set all" buttons to the drill sidebar so you can mark every PLL recognition case at once.
- Improved Cases filtered out on the drill setup screen are now dimmed instead of hidden, and the category filter dropdown shows a sticker preview next to each name.
- Improved Filters moved off the PLL recognition guide page — the guide is a clean reference now, and filtering happens on the drill page where you pick what to practice.
- Improved Renamed "Algorithms" to "Guides" in the navigation, and moved the Speedcubing Journey to the Guides page.
- Improved Added case rating progress bars to the Drills page so you can see your progress at a glance.
- Improved Moved the timer's solve graph from below the timer to the top of the times list.
- Improved Added a 1-second grace period after stopping the timer so the next solve can't start accidentally.
- Improved Opening a case detail now updates the URL, so you can link directly to a specific case.
- Improved F2L cases now open in a full detail modal with algorithm selection per slot, accessible from search and the F2L guide.
- Fixed Fixed ao5 and ao12 in the solve graph — averages are now computed from your full solve history, not just the visible window.
May 1, 2026
- Fixed Corrected the "Edge aligned" / "Edge misaligned" tags in F2L search for 13 cases that were tagged incorrectly.
April 30, 2026
- Fixed Fixed a crash when displaying PLL case images for cases with an out-of-range algorithm index.
April 27, 2026
- Improved The case details popup now grows wider when needed so algorithm steps no longer wrap onto multiple lines.
April 26, 2026
- New On the Solves page, the chart now spans the full date range of your solves and has From/To date pickers so you can zoom into any time period.
- Improved Solve dots on the chart are slightly larger and use a single consistent size.

- Fixed The chart on the Solves page no longer overflows the page width and now resizes correctly when the window shrinks.

- New A solve chart now appears on the timer page, below the timer — watch your times and ao5/ao12 trend without leaving the page.
- New Click any time dot on the chart to delete that solve.
- New PLL Recognition guide is now live on the home page — spot each case without rotating, with all 21 cases grouped by what to look for.
- Improved The chart grows from the left as you add solves, keeping dots spread out at the start of a session rather than squishing everything together.
- Improved On mobile, the header now shows icons for each section (Algorithms, Drill, Timer, History) instead of the app name, so you can jump directly to any page with one tap.
- Improved Polished a few beginner guide visuals — the corner permutation step now animates the headlights pattern, and the first-layer corner cases are reordered for a clearer flow.
- Fixed Fixed a bug where a +2 penalty was treated as a DNF when calculating ao5 and ao12 — it now correctly counts as a valid solve with 2 seconds added.
April 24, 2026
- New Finger slips on the timer are now auto-marked as DNF — if you stop the timer far faster than your usual times, the solve is flagged as DNF with a quick Undo in case it was a real one.
- New Your solves and case ratings now save to the cloud automatically, even before you sign up — so they're safe from cleared browser data and show up on the signed-in dashboard from your very first solve.
- New Signing up from a guest session now carries your solves and ratings over silently — no more 'Import local solves?' prompt.
- New Signing in to an existing account while practicing as a guest offers to merge the guest session into your account so nothing is lost.
- Improved Guests can now record up to 100 solves before signing up (was 10).
- Fixed New solves on the timer no longer disappear for users with long histories — stats across the site now reflect every solve you've recorded, not just the first few hundred.
April 19, 2026
