What is 2x2 LS?

LS (Last Slot) stops the first layer a corner early: three corners are built, the fourth slot holds a piece that belongs on top, and one algorithm puts both right and solves the last layer with them. There are 486 LS cases in nine variants, by how the two pieces are twisted.

It is the largest 2x2 set on this site, so pick a variant above and learn it whole before moving to the next.

Frequently asked questions

How do I practice LS algorithms?
Pick which cases to drill, then one of two modes: Flashcard (see the case, recall the algorithm) or Scramble (set the case up on your own 2x2 and solve it). The trainer serves the cases you are still learning, the ones you fail and the slow ones more often than the ones you already know.
How does the trainer know which LS cases I know?
From the status you give each algorithm in the LS database: Not known, Failing, Learning, Getting there or Muscle Memory. Filter the drill by status to practice only the cases you are learning, and update a status as it changes.
