What is TEG-1?
TEG-1 is what EG-1 and TCLL make together: the first layer is one adjacent swap from solved and one of its corners is twisted, and a single algorithm fixes both while solving the last layer. There are 340 TEG-1 cases in eight variants, one per twisted corner and direction.
Most people learn one or two variants, for the twist their first-layer build tends to leave. Pick a variant above.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I practice TEG-1 algorithms?
- Pick which cases to drill, then one of two modes: Flashcard (see the case, recall the algorithm) or Scramble (set the case up on your own 2x2 and solve it). The trainer serves the cases you are still learning, the ones you fail and the slow ones more often than the ones you already know.
- How does the trainer know which TEG-1 cases I know?
- From the status you give each algorithm in the TEG-1 database: Not known, Failing, Learning, Getting there or Muscle Memory. Filter the drill by status to practice only the cases you are learning, and update a status as it changes.
